Privacy Policy

• Account: your name and email from Google or Microsoft sign-in.
• Age: birth month and year (no exact date) to apply children’s-privacy protections.
• Learning activity: practice answers and scores, sessions and full-length tests, per-skill progress, and score reports you choose to upload.
• Engagement signals: how you interact with lessons (response timing, hesitation, help-seeking) used to adapt instruction.
• Tutoring: messages you send to the AI tutor.

We use information solely to operate and improve this learning service — delivering adaptive practice, tutoring, and progress insights.

We do not sell student data, serve targeted advertising, or use student data for non-educational profiling or unrelated model training. These uses are blocked in our systems and cannot be enabled by any setting.

Our users span under-13 and older. For an under-13 student using the product directly, we halt data collection until a parent or guardian provides verifiable consent. For students who reach us through a school, the school provides consent on the family’s behalf for educational use under its agreement with us, and we act as a school official under FERPA.

We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the service, each bound by a data-protection agreement and prohibited from using it for their own purposes. Our AI providers do not train their models on data sent through our account. See our subprocessor list. We do not sell or rent personal information.

If you connect Google Classroom, we access data from Google APIs to run the features you asked for. This section is that disclosure in full.

The Admissions Studio’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Concretely, that means we:

• use Google user data only to provide and improve the features described below, which are the features you connected Classroom in order to use;
• do not transfer it to others except as necessary to provide or improve those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition — and never for advertising;
• do not use it for advertising of any kind, including personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising;
• do not sell it, and do not use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models;
• do not allow humans to read it, except with your explicit consent for a specific issue you have raised with us, where required for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with applicable law, or on data that has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

We request the narrowest set of permissions the features need, and we request them separately from sign-in — connecting Classroom is its own decision, made by you:

We request no Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or Admin SDK permissions. We never delete or rename your existing Classroom topics, and we never create one unless you type its name and confirm.

You can disconnect at any time from the connect your classes page, which revokes our access with Google and deletes the stored credential. You can also revoke it from your Google Account permissions.

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary, then delete it automatically. See our data retention policy. Parents and schools can request review, correction, or deletion at any time.

Parents can review the information we hold about their child, request a correction, withdraw consent, or delete the account and data through the parent rights page (the link a family receives, or a share link generated in-app). Schools exercise these rights for their students under their agreement with us.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access to identified student records is restricted and logged, and we maintain a written information-security program.

We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, provide notice.
